Paisley Hipster Tote With Matching Nook Color Sleeve

I love how this Hipster Tote turned out. I struggled with the batting layers on my Brother sewing machine and think I will need to purchase a different foot to attach to my machine before attempting to make another one. I altered the pattern when it came to the strap because I didn't want to have the length adjustable. I hadn't sewn a zipper since I was a teenager (many decades ago ) but the instructions that came with the pattern were easy to follow and I didn't have to get my seam ripper out once!

The matching Nook Color Sleeve ( below ) I  made slides into this tote for added protection and portability.

Inside view below shows the sewn in pocket that holds extra goodies. It is a large deep pocket and will hold all sorts of goodies. I like to keep my library card, a notepad, and spare change for coffee in mine.

I purchased this beautiful paisley fabric at my local WalMart store for under $6.00 a yard.

The patterns for both the Nook Color Sleeve and the Hipster Bag can be purchased at:

I love these patterns because they are Printable PDF Patterns and emailed so there's virtually no waiting until the pattern arrives. I received mine within a couple hours of my purchase.
